Happy Easter 2010

Happy Easter 2010

Today is the most important annual religious feast in the Christian liturgical year. According to Christian scripture, Jesus was resurrected from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion.

Some Christians celebrate this resurrection on Easter Day or Easter Sunday (also Resurrection Day or Resurrection Sunday), two days after Good Friday and three days after Maundy Thursday.

Traditionally the Easter Season lasted for the forty days from Easter Day until Ascension Day but now officially lasts for the fifty days until Pentecost. The first week of the Easter Season is known as Easter Week or the Octave of Easter. Easter also marks the end of Lent, a season of fasting, prayer, and penance.

Western and Eastern Christianity usually celebrate the Easter on separate day. However, this year they celebrate on the same day. Easter eggs are a popular sign of the holiday among it’s religious and secular observers alike.

We would like to take this opportunity to say Happy Easter to all our Christian visitors.

Oh ya, don’t forget today Malaysia F1 Lotus Team is taking part in F1 Grand Prix. Do not forget to switch on your television.

April Fools’ Day 2010

1st April, we called it as April Fool’s Day, or some of you might called it as All Fool’s Day. Regardless what we called it, today is marked by the commission of hoaxes and other practical jokes of varying sophistication on friends, family members, enemies, and neighbors, or sending them on a fool’s errand, the aim of which is to embarrass the gullible.

Traditionally, in United Kingdom, Australia and some other countries, the jokes only last until noon time, but in Netherlands and USA, the jokes last whole day. What about in Malaysia?

Although we like to play jokes today, but this day in history also has real news. We believe reporters will suffer more on this day as they have to verify the news and properly get fooled by their sources.

Today, we all will celebrate it with our friends, neighbour (may be), colleagues, teachers (if you dare to), street walker ??, or even ourselves. We play fun, make jokes, being fooled and laugh.

But, we have to remind you, although today is April Fool’s Day, please do not make call to fool Police, Ambulance, Fireman, or in any official procedure, Continue reading
