Chitika Respond to ‘Earn Money – Chitika – Not Recommended’

I just received a reply from Chitika regarding to our previous post Earn Money – Chitika – Not Recommended, and I’m really shocked when they sent me this email to explain and clarify everything.

I believe that they should have the chance to explain it here about their policy and ways of working, so I decided to post their original reply here, or it will be unfair to them, if they don’t have the chance to explain to our readers.

Hi RMvalues Admin,

I have just came across your Chitika review: http://www.rmvalues.com/blog/2010/06/27/earn-money-chitika-not-recommend/

I wanted to kindly provide you some clarifications on some of the items you mentioned in your post, because it appears you have mixed up some key points regarding our service.

First, the error in our referral program.  Some time ago we increased how long we will provide extra referral revenue from 12 to 15 months (right around the time Google removed their referral program altogether).  And it looks like you found a typing error we missed when we increased our program, I will have a tech quickly fix that because it is 15 months.  Thanks.

Second, you did not see a reported click/revenue for the time you clicked on your own ads because our system uses these as test ads.  In other words, you cannot click on your own ads- we will filter these out, because repeatedly clicking on your own ads will result in a possible termination for fraudulent clicks (just like any other service).

Third, “Chitika banner will only be appear in Search Engine Traffic.”
Most of our publishers do not consider this a negative point because we actually did this as a result of publishers requests to NOT bother their regular readers.  It is important for most of our publishers to not have additional ads being thrown in the face of returning readers (who will likely ignore ads anyways).  We are the only ad company to take this important fact into consideration and our publishers have thanked us for it.  For non-search traffic (if a user wants to show an ad 100% of the time) we have options like “alternate URL” set in place.

Forth, regarding a drop in AdSense earnings when using Chitika and Google AdSense together.  After much testing and feedback from our publishers, we have found that the higher majority of publishers, when placing for example: Adsense at the top of their article and Chitika ad the bottom, gives them a COMBINED higher revenue compared to using just AdSense or Chitika alone on their site.  So while one ad might, for some decrease, the revenue added together is higher.

Fifth, “Chitika had introduced the new Chitika Select, which works for international traffic. In this ads, we found Google Adsense ads appear on their ad space. What does it mean? You will not be paid when someone clicks on your ads, because they have no way to track it”
This statement is just entirely untrue.  Select ads are not limited to international, they are another solution to those who’d like some extra revenue for displaying ads to more than their search traffic.  In other words, Select ads display to non-search traffic.  We do pay our publishes for clicks on Select ads, and they can choose whether or not they’d like Select ads to display on their website(s).

If there is anything further you’d like to inquire about, please do not hesitate to reply and ask.

Regards,
Chitika

We have to mention and clarify 1 thing here too — our review on previous post are 100% truly honest and these all are based on our experiences and discussions on several large forums.

We recommend you to test it yourself and tell us, how you feel about it.

Chitika Premium is one of the biggest frauds when we compare it with other pay-per-click programs. The ads don’t display for all visitors and even AdBrite performs better than it. A lot of sites receive plenty of international visitors but the visits don’t count as page views because the ads don’t display. AdBrite displays better ads and generates a lot of page views, so as a publisher you will earn some money even if the ads have not been clicked.
