Today is Labour Day, or someone called it as May Day or International Workers’ Day. Doesn’t matter how you named it as, today is the special day for labour and workers, because today is one of the biggest annual holiday not only in Malaysia, but in the world as well to celebrate the economic and social achievements of workers.

You might not know that, not all the countries celebrate Labour Day today or 1st May, some countries like Canada and USA, they celebrate on first Monday of September.

Well, today is an official holiday in Malaysia, if your boss insist you to work, he or she should pay you double or triple salary today. If your working time is less than normal working hours, then today is double salary, but if your working hour is more than normal working hours, then is triple salary today. Otherwise you can refuse to work, and if your boss fired you, you can sue him/her.

Ok, a bit out of topic.
