Compare & Analyze Celcom Services

Today we gonna compare all the Celcom services with it’s own and we will analyze whatever we talked in these few days and recommend or not recommend you to go for.

Prabayar Blue

Advantages

  • Flat call rate compare to the other plans (excluded SOX & UOX plans)
  • More favorite numbers (20)
  • Cheapest MMS rate to favorite numbers (RM 0.15/MMS)
  • As longer as you stay, the more setia bonus you will obtain.

Disadvantages

  • Favorite number only Celcom number compare to Xpax.

Recommend for those who always call to any mobile operators or fixed line in whole Malaysia.

Xpax

Advantages

  • Lowest prepaid call rate to favorite numbers.
  • Any networks can be your favorite numbers, either mobile or fixed line.
  • Cheapest SMS rate to Celcom favorite numbers.
  • On the day of your birthday and the next 6 days you can enjoy Free SMS & Call to Celcom favorite numbers.

Disadvantages

  • Maintain 90′s call charges, which is Adjacent & Non-Adjacent charges. For example if you are in KL and make a call to your friend who is in Penang, every minute you will be charged RM 1.80. The most expensive call rate in Malaysia.

Recommend for those who only make local call. For example you are in KL and you only call to friends or family members who stay only in KL, then Xpax is your choice.

Not recommend to whom who like to save. ;)

MID Plan

Advantages

  • Flat call rate to all Celcom numbers anywhere anytime.
  • Low call rate to Celcom numbers.
  • Only RM 0.01/SMS during off-peak hours.

Disadvantages

  • Maintain 90′s call charges, which is Adjacent & Non-Adjacent charges. For example if you are in KL and make a call to your friend who is in Penang, every minute you will be charged RM 1.40.

Recommend for those who only make call to Celcom numbers. If majority of your friends are using Celcom, then this is your choice.

SOX Plan

Advantages

  • Postpaid like call rate, only RM 0.15/min or RM 0.10 for 8 Celcom favorite numbers.
  • On the day of your birthday and the next 6 days you can enjoy Free SMS & Call to Celcom favorite numbers.

Strongly recommend for secondary school students from age 12-18 years.

UOX Plan

Advantages

  • Postpaid like call rate, only RM 0.15/min or RM 0.10 for 8 Celcom favorite numbers.
  • On the day of your birthday and the next 6 days you can enjoy Free SMS & Call to Celcom favorite numbers.

Strongly recommend for colleague or university students from age 18-25 years.

Exec 20

Generally we don’t recommend Exec 20 to our RMvalues supporters. If your monthly usage is less than RM 50, then prepaid is your choice, if you use over RM 50, then just go for postpaid commitment plan. Nothing is cheap with this Exec.

Monthly you have to pay RM 20 only for access fee under this plan. Call, SMS, MMS & other services will be charge accordingly. So your monthly bill will be :

[ RM 20 (Access fee) + Usage ( Call, SMS, MMS, IDD, Roaming, Data charges ) ] x 5% government tax + RM 3 (itemized bill) = Minimum RM 23.

Not worth for you to have this Exec 20.

Exec 50

The more you use, the more you save. You will enjoy usage discount if you use over RM 60 per month.

If monthly you make around 2000 minutes voice call without or very rarely sms/mms and do not use Data services, then Exec 50 is your best choice.

2000 minutes voice call x RM 0.15 = RM 300

RM 300 – 30% disount = RM 210

If you make call over 2380 minutes monthly and send over 50 SMS monthly, then you should go to the next plan Exec 250.

Exec 250

If you are frequent internet user and make around 2000, then Exec 250 is your choice.

If you use Exec 50 + Advance Data Plan and monthly call around 2000 minutes, then you will have to pay RM 308 per month. Why ? Look here:

RM 210 (after 30% discount for 2000 minutes call in Exec 50) + RM 98 (Advance Data Plan) = RM 308.

Phone Plan

If your monthly bill is over RM 148 for Exec 50 or you are using Exec 250, and would like to buy a cheap phone, then Celcom phone plan is your right choice. Otherwise you should not go for phone plan as their commitment is quite high and not worth to go if your monthly usage is low.

Data Plan

If you don’t care about the speed, then Weekly Unlimited plan is the best choice for Prepaid subscribers.

Entry plan is the choice for postpaid subscribers who are not really care about the extreme low speed but wants to enjoy low rate.

Basic plan is the choice for postpaid subscribers who are moderately care about the speed but don’t want to spend too much for it.

Advance plan is the choice for postpaid subscribers who want high speed and don’t care about the price.

Pay-Per-Use is the choice for prepaid and postpaid subscribers who want to enjoy the high speed but rarely use it or who want to enjoy the high speed and unlimited usage. Because Basic & Advance plan only limit to 5GB monthly usage. Speed will be throttle to 128 Kbps or 64Kbps is over limit.

I think we shall stop here and tomorrow we will continue to talk to you about another MNO (Mobile Network Operator).
